Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Repairs

·        Complete assigned maintenance requests efficiently and professionally across multiple residential properties

·        Perform drywall repairs, patching, sanding, painting, caulking, and finishing work

·        Repair and replace doors, locks, trim, windows, hardware, and closet systems

·        Troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general building repairs

·        Install and repair toilets, faucets, sinks, fixtures, and address minor plumbing leaks

·        Perform flooring repairs and installations including laminate, vinyl plank, tile, and carpet

·        Conduct preventative maintenance and assist with building system shutdowns when required

·        Inspect and replace smoke detectors, air filters, locks, and other safety-related items

·        Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory in safe working condition

·        Monitor material usage and communicate supply needs to management

·        Assist with exterior maintenance, landscaping, seasonal cleanup, and curb appeal initiatives

Unit Turnovers & Renovations

·        Complete apartment turnovers and renovation projects within scheduled timelines

·        Prepare vacant units for new tenant occupancy according to company standards

·        Install cabinetry, countertops, vanities, trim, flooring, doors, and hardware

·        Assist with appliance installations and basic plumbing connections

·        Maintain clean, organized, and debris-free work areas throughout all projects

·        Support tradespeople and contractors with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC-related work as needed

Emergency Response & On-Call Support

·        Participate in occasional evening, weekend, and on-call emergency rotations

·        Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues to minimize tenant disruption and property damage

·        Assist with emergency situations including floods, lockouts, fire alarms, power outages, and safety-related incidents

·        Secure buildings, vacant units, and common areas when necessary

·        Accurately document emergency repairs, maintenance activities, and required follow-up actions

Communication & Team Collaboration

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in residential maintenance, renovations, handyman services, or a related role

·        Strong knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, and basic electrical systems

·        Experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

·        Basic understanding of HVAC systems and general building maintenance practices

·        Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills

·        High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·        Comfortable using smartphones, email, apps, and digital work order systems

·        Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required

·        Clean driver’s abstract preferred

·        Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work

·        Flexibility to travel between multiple property locations as required

·        Availability for occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance support

Qualifications & Skills

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in residential maintenance, renovations, handyman services, or a similar role

·        Strong knowledge of general carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, flooring, and basic electrical systems

·        Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely

·        Basic understanding of HVAC systems and general building maintenance
